A Beautiful Mistake

On my trip to Mexico in the summer of 2007, in spite of the minor language barrier, I made some friends with the local kids. Most of our interaction involved playing some intense soccer games, wrestling (they were all younger than me, fortunately), and playing with my camera (unfortunately). This photo was one of the mishaps that I actually found very interesting and probably better than I could have planned.

The Monkey On My Back

A storyboard-like-layout photo series illustrating a battle between me and the monkey on my back. I originally wanted to do a stop-motion animation, but had a limited amount of time and resources.

Trust Me, They'll Remember You

A series of watercolors in which I made a laminated stencil, and painted over it. This method makes the focal subject part of the negative space, as apposed to the watercolor being in the foreground. This method was originally inspired by Stina Persson.
